Fruits of life

Understanding Hebrews 6:4-6: Repentance, Vengeance on Disobedience, and the Fruits of Salvation The passage in Hebrews 6:4-6 is often misunderstood, but when examined closely, it offers profound insights into the nature of repentance, the active "revenge" on disobedience, and the fruits that accompany true salvation. Here's a closer look: Hebrews 6:4-6 (NIV): "For it is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age and who have fallen away, to be brought back to repentance. To their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace." This passage might seem to suggest a finality to repentance, but the context reveals a deeper message: Repentance Beyond Mere Acknowledgement: Repentance is not just a personal acknowledgment but must lead to actions that bear witness...

God protects the unborn

God protects the unborn: Exo 21:22-25 TS2009 22 “And when men strive and they shall smite a pregnant woman, and her children come out, yet there is no injury, he shall certainly be punished accordingly as the woman’s husband lays upon him. And he shall give through the judges. 23 “But if there is injury, then you shall give life for life, 24 eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, 25 burn for burn, wound for wound, lash for lash. If the two men fight, and bump into the woman, and she is unharmed, then the men merely pay a fine. But if harm is done to the mother or baby,  then it's life for life,  tooth for tooth, etc. God takes care of the unborn.

Branch or rising sun?

Zech 3:8 My Servant the Branch/My Servant the Rising Sun Zec 3:8 KJV Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH. Zec 3:8 LBP (ES) Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, you and your fellows who stand before you; for you are marvelous men: Behold, I will bring forth the rising of the sun upon my servant. Or: my servant the rising sun To understand how ancient Jews understood the phrase "my servant the branch", as "my servant the rising sun", one must make a close inspection of related Hebrew words to get the clear picture: Samach means joy, from the picture of the sun shining upon the garden, and the rain falling upon the garden, and watching the flowers come to life and grow. zamach means joy from the picture of cutting off one of these flowers and sharing it with others. However, taking a sickle to the garden implies the pruning process.  A proces...
