Shilow

The LXX and Peshitta proves “Shilow”, here means “to whom it belongs”!

Gathering, Obedience, Hope, Expectation

Gen 49:10 KJV The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be

.

Gen 49:10 LBP (ES) The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until the coming of the One to whom the sceptre belongs, to whom the Gentiles shall look forward.

Gen 49:10 LOGOS A ruler shall not fail from Judah, nor a prince from his loins, until there come the things stored up for him; and He is the expectation of nations.

The reason for the meanings attached to Shiylow are listed below.  But this verse contains another very interesting variant.  The word “gathering” of the people, as in KJV, is yiqqahah/יקהה which is Strongs 3349.  Many take this word to mean “Obedience”, however anciently in both the LXX and Peshitta, it was taken for hope, expectation.  From the root word qavah/קוה which is 6960 Strongs.  When one examines the 2 letter root of this word, most of these related meanings begin to make sense, as the picture becomes clear in one’s mind and heart. The 2 letter root word is qav/קו which is 6957 ST.  Qav can be a measuring line, or a simple cord or rope.  This rope can bind or gather, as it can also hold back one who is coming, upon whom we expect to see. This period of longing and expectation involves obedience, so that we can be found acceptable when HE comes.  The measuring line is the basis upon which we will be judged when HE comes.  As His word was given line upon line qav upon qav in Isa 28:10, and these words or lines  have gone out unto all the world in Ps 19:4.  However, this judgment will bring hope to the world in Isa 28:17 LXX, as His compassion will bring forth just measures.

Fruits of life

Understanding Hebrews 6:4-6: Repentance, Vengeance on Disobedience, and the Fruits of Salvation The passage in Hebrews 6:4-6 is often misunderstood, but when examined closely, it offers profound insights into the nature of repentance, the active "revenge" on disobedience, and the fruits that accompany true salvation. Here's a closer look: Hebrews 6:4-6 (NIV): "For it is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age and who have fallen away, to be brought back to repentance. To their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace." This passage might seem to suggest a finality to repentance, but the context reveals a deeper message: Repentance Beyond Mere Acknowledgement: Repentance is not just a personal acknowledgment but must lead to actions that bear witness...

Exception clause

In the beginning Yah commanded mankind to be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth. Gen 1:28  This command was never rescended, and remains in force unto this very day. In fact Yah protects this law by making the conjugal relationship of man and wife mandatory: Exo 21:10 KJV If he take him another wife ; her food, her raiment, and her duty of marriage, shall he not diminish. Victory over death
