Branch or rising sun?

Zech 3:8 My Servant the Branch/My Servant the Rising Sun Zec 3:8 KJV Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH. Zec 3:8 LBP (ES) Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, you and your fellows who stand before you; for you are marvelous men: Behold, I will bring forth the rising of the sun upon my servant. Or: my servant the rising sun To understand how ancient Jews understood the phrase "my servant the branch", as "my servant the rising sun", one must make a close inspection of related Hebrew words to get the clear picture: Samach means joy, from the picture of the sun shining upon the garden, and the rain falling upon the garden, and watching the flowers come to life and grow. zamach means joy from the picture of cutting off one of these flowers and sharing it with others. However, taking a sickle to the garden implies the pruning process.  A proces

The blood seal

THE BLOOD SEAL! Exo 4:25 KJV Then Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet, and said, Surely a bloody husband art thou to me. Exo 4:25 LBP (ES) Then Zipporah took a flint and cut off the foreskin of her son, and she fell down at the feet of the LORD and said, I have a bloody husband. Exo 4:25 ABP2006 wo cr And Zipporah, taking a small sharp stone, circumcised the foreskin of her son. And she fell at his feet, and said, [is stopped The blood of the circumcision of my male child]. The word used for bridegroom in this passage is taken to mean stopped up.  As in the flow of blood has been stopped.  So, while our present Hebrew text reads chatan/חתן bridegroom, the ancient Jews who translated the LXX saw or heard chatam/חתם which means to seal, complete, stop, lock up.  If it is true, that ancient woman called the newborn child bridegroom at circumcision, as is speculated by Gesenius (see below), then apparently the LXX wants us to look dee

Question or statement?

EX 6:3 A statement or a question? Targum translated by Etheridge EX 6:1-9 AND the Lord spake with Mosheh, and said to him, I am the Lord who revealed Myself to thee in the midst of the bush, and said to thee, I am the Lord. And I was revealed unto Abraham, and to Izhak, and to Jakob, as EI‑Shaddai; but My Name Ye‑ya, as it discovereth My Glory, [1] was not known to them. [JERUSALEM. And the Lord was revealed in His Word unto Abraham, to Izhak, and to Jakob, as the God of Heaven; but the Name of the Word of the Lord was not known. to them.] And I confirmed also My covenant with them, to give them the land of Kenaan, the land of their sojourning in which they were sojourners. And now cometh before Me the groaning of the sons of Israel, because the Mizraee do enslave them; and I remember My covenant. Therefore say to the sons of Israel, I am the Lord; and I will bring you forth from the oppressive bondage of the Mizraee, and will deliver you from your servitude, and save you with an u

Return or saved 1

Isa 10:22-23 Rom 9:27-29 Return or Saved? Rom 9:27-28 KJV 27 Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved: 28 For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.
