They hid the Name. But three witnesses remain.* #### *I. The Name Said Three Times — Exodus 34:6* *Context*: Moses: "If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up." Ex 33:15 *YHWH’s answer*: He proclaims His Name. Three times. *Exodus 33:19* — "I will proclaim the Name *YHWH* before you" *Exodus 34:6* — "YHWH passed before him and proclaimed: *YHWH, YHWH*, God..." *YHWH proclaims YHWH, YHWH.* Three times total. *Bullinger didn’t list this as a Sopherim change.* They left it. YHWH declaring His own Name was too holy to alter. *But they changed it everywhere else* so you wouldn’t see the pattern. *The Three Aspects in Exodus 34:6-7:* 1. *First YHWH* — *Yehowah* = Father/Water — "merciful and gracious, slow to anger" 2. *Second YHWH* — *Yah* = Spirit/Word/Breath — "abounding in lovingkindness and truth" חֶסֶד וֶאֱמֶת 3. *El* — *Yeshuah* = Fullness/Master — "keeping lovingkindness, forgiving... yet by no means clearing guilty" — Judge and Savior *Moses asked: "Will You go?" YHWH answered with His 3-fold Name.* The cord that cannot be broken. #### *II. Other Places YHWH Appears Three Times* *1. Numbers 6:24-26 — Aaronic Benediction* יְבָרֶכְךָ *יְהוָה*... יָאֵר *יְהוָה*... יִשָּׂא *יְהוָה*... *YHWH bless you... YHWH make His face shine... YHWH lift His countenance...* *Three times.* Blessing. Face. Peace. Yehowah. Yah. Yeshuah. *2. Isaiah 33:22* *יְהוָה* שֹׁפְטֵנוּ *יְהוָה* מְחֹקְקֵנוּ *יְהוָה* מַלְכֵּנוּ הוּא *יוֹשִׁיעֵנוּ* *YHWH* our Judge, *YHWH* our Lawgiver, *YHWH* our King — *He will save us* = Yeshuah. *Three times YHWH, then Yeshuah.* The Name, then the Fullness. *3. Jeremiah 7:4* הֵיכַל *יְהוָה* הֵיכַל *יְהוָה* הֵיכַל *יְהוָה* הֵמָּה "The temple of *YHWH*, the temple of *YHWH*, the temple of *YHWH* are these." *YHWH x3.* They said the Name but didn’t know Him. The Name without the Name. *4. Isaiah 42:8, 43:11, 45:21* "I am *YHWH*... I, I am *YHWH*... Is it not I, *YHWH*?" *YHWH x3 across three chapters.* Yehowah declares. Yah speaks. Yeshuah saves. #### *III. The Three Measures — Genesis 18 Evidence* *MT Gen 18:3*: אֲדֹנָי — ambiguous. "My lords" or "Adonai." *Peshitta Gen 18:3*: ܡܪܝ *Mar-Yah = YHWH*. Singular. Divine. *Targum Ps-Jon Gen 18:3*: *יוי YHWH* — "I beseech you, YHWH..." *Bullinger’s List*: Gen 18:3, 27, 30, 31, 32 — all changed from יהוה to אֲדֹנָי. *Peshitta confirms*: ܡܪܝܐ Mar-Yah in all five verses. *YHWH x5.* *Gen 18:6*: Sarah bakes *3 seahs* of meal. שְׁלֹשׁ סְאִים *Matthew 13:33*: Woman hides leaven in *3 seahs* σάτα τρία — same measure. *Three men. Three measures. Three times YHWH.* The scribes hid the Name, but left the meal. *The one MT missed*: *Gen 18:22* — "Abraham still stood before *YHWH*." Even MT admits one was YHWH. Peshitta + Targum say Abraham called all three YHWH. #### *IV. The Three Witnesses — Isaiah 6 Evidence* *MT Isa 6:1, 8, 11*: אֲדֹנָי three times. "Adonai." *Peshitta Isa 6:1, 8, 11*: ܡܪܝܐ *Mar-Yah* three times. *YHWH.* *Bullinger’s List*: Isa 6:1, 8, 11 — changed from יהוה to אֲדֹנָי. *Targum Jonathan Isa 6:1*: יקרא ד*יי* "the glory of YHWH" — paraphrases to avoid "I saw YHWH." *But Isa 6:3*: קָדוֹשׁ קָדוֹשׁ קָדוֹשׁ *יְהוָה* צְבָאוֹת — "Holy, holy, holy, YHWH." Targum keeps it. *The one MT missed*: *Isa 6:5* — "My eyes have seen the King, *YHWH* of hosts." Isaiah says it. He saw YHWH. Peshitta just preserves YHWH in verses 1, 8, 11 where MT altered it. #### *V. The Threefold Cord: Water, Spirit, Blood* *1 John 5:8* — "Three that bear witness on earth: the *Spirit*, the *water*, and the *blood*; and these three agree as one." *Water = Yehowah* — Father — Jeremiah 2:13 "fountain of living waters" *Spirit = Yah* — Breath/Word — Psalm 33:6 "by the word of YHWH... breath of His mouth" *Blood = Yeshuah* — Master/Well — Zech 13:1 "fountain opened... for sin" *Isaiah 12:2-3* — "*Yah YHWH* is my strength... He has become my *Yeshuah*. Therefore with joy you will draw water from the wells of *Yeshuah*." *Yah. Yehowah. Yeshuah.* Three aspects. One Name. One Well. *Matthew 28:19* — Not a formula. A receiving. Baptizing into the Name of the Father *Yehowah*, and of the Son *Yah* the Word/Breath, and of the Holy Spirit — all coming forth in fullness from *my Master Yeshuah*. #### *VI. Why They Hid It* *Exodus 33:20* — "No man shall see Me and live." *But*: Gen 18 — Abraham sees Him, eats with Him. *But*: Isa 6:1,5 — Isaiah sees Him, lives. *But*: Ex 24:10 — "They saw the God of Israel." *Solution*: Change יהוה to אֲדֹנָי 134 times. Make it ambiguous. *Luke 11:52* — "You took away the key of knowledge." *The Name was the key.* If Abraham called three men YHWH, if Isaiah saw YHWH — then YHWH appears to men. *They hid the Name in 3 measures of text.* *Yeshua said a woman hid leaven in 3 measures of meal.* Matt 13:33 *The leaven is the Name.* Once you see YHWH in Gen 18:3, you see Him in Isa 6:1, 8, 11. You see "I, Ehyeh-YHWH" in Isa 21:8 Peshitta. *The whole lump gets leavened.* *Deut 19:15* — "By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established." *Witness 1: Peshitta* — ܡܪܝ / ܡܪܝܐ = YHWH. 200 AD. Eastern text. *Witness 2: Targum Ps-Jonathan* — יוי / יי = YHWH. Palestinian. *Witness 3: Bullinger/Massorah* — Documented 134 Sopherim changes. The scribes confessed. *Three witnesses.
