Isa 28 translation

Isaiah chapter 28 as Hebrew compared to Greek LXX (LXX: ...) and Aramaic Peshitta (P: ...) and Aramaic Targums. _1_ Woe to crown glorious of drunkard Ephraim (LXX: crown of pride, hirelings of Ephraim) (P: shameful diadem of strength of his glory) and to garland shameful, army of his glory at head of valley of fatness (heavenly fatness / beautifully fertile) (P: which dominates at entrance of fertile valley) of those confused with wine (LXX: drunk without wine). _2_ Behold, the strong and mighty one for YHWH — as stream hail, storm destroying — as stream waters many, heavy, thick overflowing — He causes land to rest with power — (LXX: as great body water sweeping away soil, he shall make rest for the land) (P: I will give rest to this land by your hands) (Targum: people come against them to remove them out of the land into another land because sins in hands — army — Shalmaneser). _3_ With feet trampled crown glorious of drunkards Ephraim (LXX: hirelings beaten down with hands and feet). _4_ And will be garland shameful, power of his glory at head of valley of fatness (P: heavenly fatness / beautifully fertile) like first-fruit before summer which he who sees it — whoever sees it — while in hand eats it — [fertile ground that cannot produce enough, eat as soon as it produces]. See blog for 1-4 https://remnantstudies.blogspot.com/2026/09/isa-281-4.html _5_ In that day YHWH of hosts shall be for crown — atereth [עֲטֶרֶת] — of glory and for tzefira [צְפִירָה] (LXX: crown of hope) (P: army of glory) (Targum: diadem of praise) of beauty to the remnant of his people. See blog — The Lost Turn: Tzefira, Qeteb, Dabar. See blog: https://remnantstudies.blogspot.com/2026/08/isa-285-dual-nature-words.html _6_ And for spirit of judgment to him that sits in judgment, and for strength to those who turn back battle to the gate (LXX: They shall be left in spirit of judgment for judgment, and for strength of them that hinder slaying — restrain slaying) (Targum: Messiah shall give victory to those who go out in war to return them in peace to houses). _7_ But these also through wine have erred, strong drink gone astray — priest and prophet erred through strong drink, swallowed up from wine, gone astray from strong drink — err in vision, stumble in judgment (LXX: are mad, this is vision) (P: they eat immoderately). _8_ For all tables full of vomit, filthiness — no place clean (LXX: Curse shall devour this counsel, for this is counsel for sake of covetousness — [hirelings drunk without wine on covetousness]). _9_ Whom shall he teach knowledge? Whom make understand message? Weaned from milk, drawn from breasts (LXX: To whom have we reported evils? And to whom reported message?). [LXX does not understand supernatural nature of verses 9-12]. See blog for 6-9 https://remnantstudies.blogspot.com/2026/09/isa-286-9.html _10_ For — (P: command upon command — hope upon hope — little here little there) (P var: reply upon reply — answer upon answer) (LXX: affliction upon affliction — hope upon hope — yet a little yet a little) — [drunk mock — blah blah] [Many today mock Isa 28:9-12]. _11_ For with stammering lip and with another tongue will He speak to this people. _12_ To whom He said, This is rest — give rest to weary, and this is repose — marge'ah — Divider who gives rest (LXX: This is rest to hungry, this is calamity) (P: same) — yet they would not hear. See blogs https://remnantstudies.blogspot.com/2026/08/isa-2812-divider-who-gives-rest.html https://remnantstudies.blogspot.com/2026/08/isa-2810-12.html _13_ And was to them word of YHWH — tsav la tsav, qav la qav — that they might go and stumble backward and be broken and snared and taken (LXX: same affliction upon affliction error) (P: precept by its explanation — tradition by its tradition — little by little — (siyga upon siyga)). [siyga is fence of Jewish law tradition placed around torah]. See blog https://remnantstudies.blogspot.com/2026/08/isa-2813.html _14_ Therefore hear word YHWH, men of scorn, rulers of this people in Jerusalem. See blog https://remnantstudies.blogspot.com/2026/09/isa-2814-and-tongue.html _15_ Because you said, We have cut covenant with death, with Sheol agreement, overflowing that sweeps away — when passes shall not come to us, for we made lie our refuge and in falsehood hid. See blog https://remnantstudies.blogspot.com/2026/09/isa-2815-to-get-carried-away.html _16_ Therefore thus says Lord YHWH, Behold I found (LXX and P: I lay) in Zion stone, tested stone, precious corner, founded foundation — who believes shall not be silent, shall not be ashamed, shall not run. See blog https://remnantstudies.blogspot.com/2026/09/isa-2816-dont-be-silent_0250798282.html _17_ And I will make justice a measuring line — and righteousness a level — (shavah — pressing even) — and hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and waters shall overflow — the hiding place. See blog https://remnantstudies.blogspot.com/2026/09/isa-2817.html _18_ And annulled covenant with death, pact with Sheol shall not stand, when overflowing that sweeps away — passes through — [shot to sweep away — not scourge] — then you become trampling place to it. See blog https://remnantstudies.blogspot.com/2026/09/isa-2818.html _19_ The measure is ENOUGH in its passing — as often as it passes (P: at that time) — it will take you, for morning by morning it shall pass, by day and by night, and it shall be sheer trembling — an evil expectation — only to understand the report. See blog https://remnantstudies.blogspot.com/2026/09/isa-2819.html _20_ But not enough — the spread is too short to stretch out on, and the garment too narrow to wrap yourself in. [Bed "matsa" is clothing, which will not be enough to cover shame of exile]. See blog https://remnantstudies.blogspot.com/2026/09/isa-2820.html _21_ For as Mount Perazim YHWH shall rise, as Valley Gibeon He shall be stirred — to do His work — strange work, to work His work — alien work. [As YHWH divided the waters, He also showed His power to confuse and divide the enemy on Perazim and Gibeon — which is point of reference]. See blog https://remnantstudies.blogspot.com/2026/09/isa-2821.html _22_ Now do not be scoffers lest fetters be made strong (P: that your discipline will not be severe) — for the completion or end is cut short, I heard from Lord YHWH of Hosts upon all earth. [Does end cut short mean work will be completed quickly, or judgment cut short to spare from too strict a judgment which would overwhelm and totally destroy — scoffers are warned not to scoff, for the judgment will be temporary for those who don't scoff]. See blog https://remnantstudies.blogspot.com/2026/09/isa-2822.html _23_ Give ear and hear my voice, listen and hear my speech. _24_ Does plowman plow all day to sow? Does he continually open and harrow ground? _25_ Is it not when he has leveled its surface — (shavah — pressing even) — he sows dill and scatters cumin and puts wheat in rows and barley in place and rye within its border? — fertile ground prepared by shavah — [vs fertile ground that cannot produce — man's heavenly vs Heavenly with instructions from above]. _26_ For his God instructs him to right — teaches him properly — wonderful counsel from above. _27_ For dill not threshed with sledge, nor cartwheel rolled over cumin, but dill beaten with rod and cumin with staff. _28_ Grain for bread is crushed, indeed he will not thresh it forever, nor grind with wheel of his cart and horses — he will not crush it. See blog for 24-28 https://remnantstudies.blogspot.com/2026/09/isa-2824-28.html _29_ This also from YHWH of Hosts comes forth, wonderful counsel — (MT: great in wisdom) — great in understanding — great in knowledge — equals (P: great in substance) [higdil tushiyah] — true heavenly — instructions from YHWH above — not man's heavenly fatness. See blog: see why shavah works in context as root instead of plain yesh substance https://remnantstudies.blogspot.com/2026/09/isa-2829.html

153 in Gematria

Here's a rewritten and tightened version of the blog post draft I gave you earlier. I've kept all the key layers intact but woven in גדי (the young goat/kid = 17) prominently—pairing it beautifully with עגלים (calves/circles = 153) as the two bracketing springs in Ezekiel's vision. This makes the symmetry even clearer and stronger. The Hidden Geometry of 153: Fish, Sons of God, and Two Young AnimalsJohn 21 tells of a night of empty nets turned into an overwhelming catch: exactly 153 large fish, hauled in on the right side, the net miraculously unbroken. Why 153? For centuries this number has intrigued readers. It is no random detail. Layer by layer, Scripture reveals a stunning web of mathematics, gematria, and wordplay—all pointing to resurrection, cleansing, and the great end-time harvest of souls.1. 153 = The 17th Triangular Number153 is the sum of every integer from 1 to 17:1 + 2 + … + 17 = 153This makes it a perfect triangular number—one that forms an equilateral triang...

Old earth v young earth? Wrong question!

Old earth Verses  Young earth ### *Genesis 1: Restoration, Not Stopwatch*   *Young Earth vs Old Earth — What Scripture Actually Says* I’ve been told Genesis 1 settles the age of the earth. I’ve been told it proves “young earth” or proves “old earth.” After looking hard at the Hebrew, I’m convinced we’re asking the wrong question. *Genesis 1 isn’t a stopwatch. It’s a restoration record.* And if we miss that, we miss the point. #### *1. What we _can’t_ prove from Scripture* *Scripture doesn’t date dirt.* _Job 38:4_ *“Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth?”* I wasn’t there. Neither were you. No verse says “the earth is 6,000 years old.” No verse says “the earth is 4.6 billion years old.”   *What Scripture _does_ date is man.* Genealogies from Adam put him ∼4,000 BC. _Luke 3:38_ *“Adam, which was the son of God.”* But Adam is not dirt. _Genesis 2:7_ *“the LORD God formed man of the dust.”* The dust was there first. *So “young earth vs old earth” i...
