*Was Yeshua Quoting Greek in Luke 4? No. He Was Reading Hebrew In Synagogue.* By John Lanclos So-called scholars say Luke 4:18 is LXX. Think. Would Yeshua read Greek LXX scroll on Shabbat in Nazareth synagogue to Aramaic Jews? No. He read Hebrew. Luke 4:16 - *ܦܬܚ ܟܬܒܐ - pthach ktaba - He opened the scroll* - Isa 61:1-2 - Hebrew scroll, not Greek. Look at what He actually read: > *וְלַאֲסוּרִים פְּקַח־קוֹחַ - v'la'asurim p'qach qowach - Isa 61:1* *פָּקַח - paqach - S6491 - to open - EYES ONLY* Not doors. Eyes. Every time - Gen 3:5 eyes opened, Gen 21:19 God opened Hagar eyes, 2 Kings 6:17 Elisha prayed open eyes. Paqach = eye opening. *קוֹחַ - qowach - same root - repeat - p'qach qowach = opening opening = WIDE OPEN - intensive* *אָסַר - asar / acar - S631 - ܐܣܪ - to be bound in any and every way - eyes bound shut, hands bound, prison bound - any binding* So Hebrew says: *p'qach qowach la'asurim - eye-opening wide opening to those bound* Dual meaning as Holy Spirit showed me: *1. Open the eyes which were bound shut* *2. Release those bound in prison* One word *asar* does both - bound eyes and bound prisoners. LXX destroys it. LXX has *τυφλοῖς ἀνάβλεψιν - blind recovery of sight* - only half. Loses *asar* = bound any way. Targum keeps it! Targum Jonathan Isa 61:1 translates: > "and to the prisoners! *Appear in light!*" Keil-Delitzsch admits: "Targum translates it as if peqach were imperative: *Come to the light, probably meaning undo the bands*." There it is - dual meaning in ancient Aramaic: - *Come to light = eyes opened* - *Undo bands = release bound* Peshitta same - *ܓܠܝܢܐ ܠܐܣܝܪܐ - galyana l'asyre - revelation / light to the bound* Yeshua then adds in Luke 4:18 - release oppressed - because He knows *asar = bound any way*. Why won't scholars study this? Because they'd have to admit Hebrew word must be understood via Aramaic - *paqach = eye open, asar = bound every way* - which only works in Hebrew/Aramaic - Greek splits into two words and loses dual anointing. Yeshua did not quote Greek. He opened Hebrew scroll and gave eye-opening to bound eyes and bound prisoners. That's Peshitta truth. #Peshitta #Luke4 #paqach #asar
