Gen 6:3 contend or dwell

*GEN 6:3 - The Spirit and the Seed - DIYN as DAN and DWELL* *And Yehowah said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.* Genesis 6:3 The word translated *strive* is *YADON / YADIYN - ידון* It is from the root *DIYN / DIN / DAN - דין - דן* The same root as the tribe *DAN*, for *Dan shall judge his people.* Genesis 49:16 At first glance it looks like a courtroom word - *to judge, to contend, to plead a case, to strive.* That is why KJV renders *My spirit shall not always strive.* But *LXX and Peshitta both read dwell.* *LXX Greek: ou me katameine - shall by no means remain / abide* *Vulgate: non permanebit - shall not remain* *Peshitta Syriac: shall not dwell* *Targum Onkelos: lo yitqayyam - shall not be sustained, shall not remain* Is this a different text? No. *It is the same root.* Scholars say *"The LXX and the Syriac were probably influenced by some early Jewish Targum, since Onkelos gives it substantially the same sense."* That is an absurd statement. Why invent an *unknown early Targum* to explain it? Why not just admit the truth: *These Jewish translators knew Hebrew better than modern scholars.* Those translators in Alexandria 300 years before Messiah spoke Hebrew and Aramaic as living languages. Those Syriac translators spoke Aramaic as their mother tongue. They did not need a lexicon. *They knew what DIYN meant.* Modern scholars have a dictionary definition: *DIYN = to judge*. So when LXX says *remain*, they say *"They must have read YADUN or YALUN or had a lost Targum."* Because admitting the ancient translators were right would cost them their scholar credentials. *The truth is, DIYN means both, because the pictographic root was lost to moderns but known to ancients.* *DIN - Delet + Yud + Nun* *Delet - D - Door, gate, gate of judgment, house, womb* *Nun - N - Seed, son, life that continues, that swings forth* *Yud - the hand that pushes* The direction of the *Nun* through the *Delet* determines the meaning. *Nun OUT through the Delet:* To go *out* through the door to the *gate* to *contend for your rights*, your inheritance, your seed-right. To *judge at the gate*. To *plead your case in the gate of judgments.* That is *DIN as contend / strive / judge* - the KJV reading. *Nun IN through the Delet:* To go *in* through the door and *dwell at home*, to *abide in the house*, to *remain with the seed inside*, to *be established in the dwelling.* That is *DIN as dwell / remain / abide* - the LXX, Peshitta, Onkelos reading. *Same seed, same door. One swings out to fight, one swings in to abide.* It is the *inlet and outlet* of the same chest cavity, the same *bosom*. If *man is the Nun, the seed*, then the first picture is *dwelling with the seed in the house.* *My Spirit shall dwell with the seed in the dwelling.* That is what those ancient Jewish translators were looking at foremost - *not Yehowah fighting man, but Yehowah dwelling WITH the seed in the house.* For *Ben is from Banah, to build the house*, which means *to build the family, to keep the seed in the house so the Father's name continues.* Genesis 6:3 is the un-building of that house. *Before the flood, the Spirit of Yehowah dwelt with the seed in the house, contending and ruling as Judge inside.* *Yehowah says, My Spirit shall no longer abide with the seed in the house forever.* After 120 years the house is torn down, the seed is cast OUT, and then comes the second meaning - *to contend for rights at the gate of judgment.* *First picture - IN - to dwell, to abide, to remain, to be established.* *Second picture - OUT - to contend, to judge, to strive at the gate.* *Both meanings were in the same root. The root meaning was lost when Hebrew became abstract and forgot the picture of the seed swinging in or out of the door. The ancient translators still knew it .* see addendum: Aramaic amad: to stand adds layers to meaning https://remnantstudies.blogspot.com/2026/10/gen-63-addendum-stand.html

153 in Gematria

Here's a rewritten and tightened version of the blog post draft I gave you earlier. I've kept all the key layers intact but woven in גדי (the young goat/kid = 17) prominently—pairing it beautifully with עגלים (calves/circles = 153) as the two bracketing springs in Ezekiel's vision. This makes the symmetry even clearer and stronger. The Hidden Geometry of 153: Fish, Sons of God, and Two Young AnimalsJohn 21 tells of a night of empty nets turned into an overwhelming catch: exactly 153 large fish, hauled in on the right side, the net miraculously unbroken. Why 153? For centuries this number has intrigued readers. It is no random detail. Layer by layer, Scripture reveals a stunning web of mathematics, gematria, and wordplay—all pointing to resurrection, cleansing, and the great end-time harvest of souls.1. 153 = The 17th Triangular Number153 is the sum of every integer from 1 to 17:1 + 2 + … + 17 = 153This makes it a perfect triangular number—one that forms an equilateral triang...

Old earth v young earth? Wrong question!

Old earth Verses  Young earth ### *Genesis 1: Restoration, Not Stopwatch*   *Young Earth vs Old Earth — What Scripture Actually Says* I’ve been told Genesis 1 settles the age of the earth. I’ve been told it proves “young earth” or proves “old earth.” After looking hard at the Hebrew, I’m convinced we’re asking the wrong question. *Genesis 1 isn’t a stopwatch. It’s a restoration record.* And if we miss that, we miss the point. #### *1. What we _can’t_ prove from Scripture* *Scripture doesn’t date dirt.* _Job 38:4_ *“Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth?”* I wasn’t there. Neither were you. No verse says “the earth is 6,000 years old.” No verse says “the earth is 4.6 billion years old.”   *What Scripture _does_ date is man.* Genealogies from Adam put him ∼4,000 BC. _Luke 3:38_ *“Adam, which was the son of God.”* But Adam is not dirt. _Genesis 2:7_ *“the LORD God formed man of the dust.”* The dust was there first. *So “young earth vs old earth” i...
